Our volunteers come from a variety of backgrounds and denominations. They’re moms and dads, college students and working professionals, retirees and other compassionate adults who support Youth Commission West Virginia’s Mission Statement and who want God’s best for our young people. The diversity of our volunteers helps us to reach all kinds of kids in all kinds of places.
Youth Commission West Virginia’s main volunteer opportunities are listed below:
Administrative Support – Assist our staff with daily administrative duties. This may include preparing documents and following up with new contacts.
Campus Teams – A typical Youth Commission West Virginia club meets each week. The campus teams work with the student leadership and teacher sponsors to provide resources and assistance it the clubs. Examples may be helping with a meeting or school fundraiser.
Marketing Team – Assist with our marketing efforts online and traditional. Graphic design and Photoshop skills are also helpful.
Prayer Team – Praying for our clubs and our schools is a very important part of our ministry. As a member of our Prayer team you make a commitment to pray for Youth Commission West Virginia each and every day.
Pastors – Pastors and Youth Pastors are a valuable resource to our Clubs Youth Leadership team. Our Pastor teams assist the local Youth Commission Club on areas of spiritual growth.
Teachers – Each club must have a teacher or other staff member of the school willing to step up and become the sponsor the group in your school.
Parents – Assist each club and its leadership as well as assist us in communicating the YCWV message to the communities in which we serve.
